Description
Roof details are where jobs are won or lost.
Trims lifting. Corners moving. Perimeters opening up. Sealants failing because the weather turns before the job is finished.
That is why Rowan exists.
Rowan is a high-performance hybrid polymer adhesive and sealant built for real roofing work. It delivers a strong initial grab, a durable flexible bond and the ability to work in wet conditions when the British weather is doing what it does best.
Whether you are bedding GRP trims, fixing preformed corners, sealing abutments, bonding metal to timber or finishing perimeter details, Rowan gives you a clean, reliable bond without the hassle of traditional silicone or harsh solvent-based adhesives.
It is based on silane-terminated hybrid polymer technology, commonly known as MS polymer. That means strong adhesion, long-term flexibility and a cleaner specification for modern roofing work.
No isocyanates. No solvents. Low VOC. Suitable for internal and external use.
For GRP trims, corners and roofing details, Rowan is the one to reach for.
Bonds the lot. Works in the wet. Gets the job moving.
How to Install
Step 1 - Prepare The Surface
Ensure surfaces are sound, clean and free from loose material, dust, oil, release agents and standing water.
Step 2 – Check Compatibility
Test a small area first when bonding to unusual plastics, coated surfaces, bituminous materials or heavily plasticised substrates.
Step 3 – Cut the Nozzle
Cut the nozzle to suit the bead size required, ensuring enough adhesive is applied to fully bed the component.
Step 4 – Apply a Continuous Bead
Apply Rowan in a continuous bead along the fixing area, avoiding gaps that could allow movement or water ingress.
Step 5 – Position the Component
Press the trim, corner, flashing or component firmly into position while the adhesive is fresh.
Step 6 – Hold the Line
Use mechanical fixings, pins or screws where required to hold trims, caps or corners in their correct position while the bond cures.
Step 7 – Finish the Detail
For GRP roofing details, reinforce trims, corners and abutments with the appropriate bandage or matting system before applying the final finish.
Step 8 – Work Safely
Use suitable gloves and eye protection, ventilate enclosed areas and avoid breathing vapours during curing.
