LAVA 20 Catalyst is an accelerating additive designed for use with Lava 20 liquid-applied polyurethane waterproofing membranes.

Uses

Lava 20 Catalyst is particularly useful in the following scenarios:

• When applying Lava 20 in very low temperatures.
• When using Lava 20 with polyester fabric in a ‘wet-on-wet’ method to achieve higher coating thicknesses in a single layer.
• When applying Lava 20 in a single, thick coat, also known as a ‘flood-coat’.

Advantages

When added to the Lava 20 System, Lava 20 Catalyst accelerates the curing process of the liquid-applied polyurethane membranes. This allows for over-coating to be completed within three hours, even in colder conditions.

When used with polyester fabric in a wet-on-wet application, Lava 20 Catalyst helps achieve thicker layers of the liquid-applied polyurethane waterproofing without forming bubbles.

The recommended mixing ratio of Lava 20 liquid-applied polyurethane membrane to Lava 20 Catalyst is:

• Lava 20 liquid membrane : Lava 20 Catalyst
  • 100:2 or 100:3 by weight
  • 25 kg : 0.5 kg or 25 kg : 0.75 kg
